Remove Empty Insert Slots — Logic Pro keyboard command of the day (KCotD)

  Remove Empty Insert Slots

Removes blank/empty insert slots from a channel. Sometimes we create gaps by removing an insert, or by skipping an insert slot before opening. This command squeezes all of the inserts together leaving no empty slots in between.

Decrement Loop End for Row ⌥⌘-

Shorten the length of the loop. This command will wait for me to dive in to step sequencing again.

Logic Pro Step Sequencer overview — Apple Support

Using edit modes, you can control different attributes of the note or event triggered by a step. Some edit modes apply to only one row type, while others are common to both types. For note rows, you can change the velocity, pitch, gate time, number of note repetitions in a step, and other attributes. For automation rows, you can change the value of the automated parameter. Edit modes common to both row types include skipping and tying steps, changing the loop start and end point, and changing the step rate

Recall Screenset 8x ⇧8 — Logic Pro keyboard command of the day (KCotD)

  Recall Screenset 8x ⇧8

Switch to screensets 80 through 89. I wondered about having 99 screensets available. I realized that a show or a film or even an album can have many, different sections. Using screensets is an interesting way to bookmark and preserve the state of a work.

Create and recall screensets in Logic Pro — Apple Support

You don’t need to save screensets with an explicit command. It happens automatically, as soon as you switch to another screenset. Thus, without any effort, your current working view is always stored as the current screenset.
