Select Playing Cells — Logic Pro keyboard command of the day (KCotD)

  Select Playing Cells

Select all of the cells that are currently playing. I can imagine using this command to prepare to completely stop a Live Loop playback.

Parameters for selected cells appear in the Cell inspector, which replaces the Region inspector when cells are selected. When you select a single cell, the title bar of the Cell inspector shows the cell name; when you select multiple cells, the title bar shows the number of selected cells.

Using the Sample Editor’s “Time and Pitch Machine”
You can use the “Time and Pitch Machine” to radically alter the time structure of audio files, including time compression or expansion, and pitch transposition. When changing the pitch, you can also correct any alteration of the formants—the vocal characteristics of the pitch-shifted audio. Pitch shifting without formant correction causes a phenomenon commonly known as the Mickey Mouse effect.

In the “Time and Pitch Machine,” time and pitch functions can be carried out together, or can be performed independently of one another.

How To Use Multiband Compressor-Expander Plugins For Noise Reduction | Production Expert:

When using Expand mode in combination with a negative range, the signal will be attenuated as soon as it drops below the threshold, increasing the perceived dynamics of the signal around the threshold. This is the most common type of expansion and with higher ratio and range values, it moves closer and closer to being a gate.

Select Members of Group 50 — Logic Pro keyboard command of the day

  Select Members of Group 50

Selects all channels (and tracks) that are in group 50. I used to complain that groups above 32 were not possible, even though there are commands to select them. The documentation says maximum of 32. The documentation is wrong. You can now have 64 groups.

Unlikely that I will ever need that many.

Overview of groups in Logic Pro — Apple Support

You can have a maximum of 32 groups, and a channel strip can be a member of multiple groups.
