Capture as Recording ⇧R — Logic Pro keyboard command of the day

  Capture as Recording ⇧R

Save the most recently “played” MIDI events as a region. Pretty nifty.

Capture most recent MIDI performance in Logic Pro — Apple Support

It’s possible to capture your most recent MIDI performance, even if Logic Pro isn’t recording using the Capture Recording feature. You can use Capture Recording whether in playback mode or stopped.

When Cycle mode is off, Capture Recording creates a region containing all the MIDI events received during playback. In Cycle mode, you can use Capture Recording to create a new take region for each new cycle during which MIDI events are received when you have the Overlapping MIDI Regions preference set to “Create Take Folder.”

Toggle Autoselect Automation Parameter in Read Mode — Logic Pro keyboard command of the day

Toggle Autoselect Automation Parameter in Read Mode

Toggle automatic selection of automation parameters. Autoselect is handy. When you select a parameter (plug-in window, track tools, et al) the automation track is set to the selected parameter.

Show automation curves in Logic Pro — Apple Support

You can automatically show the automation curve of any parameter you click in a channel strip, plug-in editor, or track header on the main automation lane.

Recall Screenset 4x ⇧4 — Logic Pro keyboard command of the day

  Recall Screenset 4x ⇧4

Recall screensets numbered from 40 through 49.

Create and recall screensets in Logic Pro — Apple Support

You position windows in a layout that suits the way you work. This layout of various windows, including their display size, zoom levels, position, and other settings, is called a screenset. Once defined, you can save, and freely switch between different screensets, much as you might between different computer displays.

Toggle Hide Group 36 — Logic Pro keyboard command of the day

  Toggle Hide Group 36

Change the visibility of the channels in group 36. I am beginning to think of situations where having this many groups might be useful. Perhaps a show with multiple acts and multiple scenes. Use a group for each scene so the mixer can be focused on the work at hand.

Automate groups in Logic Pro — Apple Support

By automating groups, you can easily change the values of parameters for a group of channel strips over time. For example, you may wish to group all of your guitar channel strips together and have all of their relative volumes change at the same time throughout a project.
