Depending on your needs, it may be worthwhile to create your own transform sets. These can be configured and saved as part of a project. (Doing this in your template projects makes your transform sets available in all projects.) Your transform sets are shown at the bottom of the Presets pop-up menu.

Shows or hides the tracks view in the Main Window. This was added when the Live Loops features were added. The Main Window can show the tracks view, the live loops view, or both.

Available as a button in the control header. The control header is just above the rulers.

I have to remember that I can hide the transport display at the top of the main window.

The Tracks area, located in the center of the Logic Pro main window, shows a visual representation of time moving from left to right. By default, track colors reflect the track type. You can change the color of specific tracks, to use color to help visually organize the Tracks area and identify tracks in a large arrangement. Track colors are visible when you configure track header components to show the track color bars.

The Quantize parameter in the Region inspector applies to whole regions. If you want different parts of a region to have different Quantize values, you can split the region, apply different quantize settings to different segments, and then join them using the Join command or the Glue tool.

Set quantization to an eighth note. Selecting a group of notes with the Quantize Tool will adjust them to eighth note positions.

The Quantize parameter is non-destructive. It adjusts the playback positions of notes in MIDI regions when Logic Pro is in playback or record mode. The original positions are kept in the regions, so you can go back to the original timing.
