Set Nudge Value to Bar ⌃⌥M — Logic Pro keyboard command of the day (KCotD)

Set Nudge Value to Bar ⌃⌥M

Sets the nudge value (the ‘distance’ the object will move) to a bar. I find nudging objects around to much easier and ‘safer’ using keyboard commands with proper values. That’s more convenient than moving the mouse to the toolbar and clicking the little arrow buttons.

Move regions in the Logic Pro Tracks area — Apple Support

Nudge regions by the nudge value
In Logic Pro, select the regions you want to move. Press and hold Option and press the Left or Right Arrow key.

I need to remember that there is a NUDGE button on the X-Touch. Pressing the NUDGE button arms the fast-forward and fast-rewind buttons to nudge forward and backward. Full and complete access to the nudge functions in the toolbar.

Live Loops: Show Length as Position — Logic Pro keyboard command of the day (KCotD)

Live Loops: Show Length as Position

Display the length of the selected cell as positions in bars and beats. A one bar cell has a length of 1 with cell start position of 1 1 and cell end position of 2 1.

I think learning how to translate Ableton Live commands and actions into Live Loops commands and actions might be a very good way to dive in to Live Loops…

Cell Length appears as Cell End, Loop Length appears as Loop End, and both show a position value.

Open Project Audio… ⌘8 — Logic Pro keyboard command of the day (KCotD)

  Open Project Audio… ⌘8

Opens the Project Audio window. Project audio is also available in the Main Window (click Browsers button in control bar, choose the Project tab).

Logic Pro Project Audio Browser interface — Apple Support

The Project Audio Browser shows the audio files used in the project, and displays an overview of the regions derived from each audio file. You can add, edit, delete, and rename audio files and regions in the Project Audio Browser.

Select Members of Group 50 — Logic Pro keyboard command of the day

  Select Members of Group 50

Selects all channels (and tracks) that are in group 50. I used to complain that groups above 32 were not possible, even though there are commands to select them. The documentation says maximum of 32. The documentation is wrong. You can now have 64 groups.

Unlikely that I will ever need that many.

You can have a maximum of 32 groups, and a channel strip can be a member of multiple groups.
