Remove Bypassed Plug-ins

Removes bypassed plug-ins from the insert slots on the selected channel(s). It’s good to clean up channel strips every once in a while.

In Logic Pro, click the Setting button at the top of the channel strip, then choose Remove Bypassed Plug-ins from the pop-up menu.

Depending on your needs, it may be worthwhile to create your own transform sets. These can be configured and saved as part of a project. (Doing this in your template projects makes your transform sets available in all projects.) Your transform sets are shown at the bottom of the Presets pop-up menu.

  Toggle Track Protect

Toggle the protected state of the selected tracks.

You can protect a track to prevent accidental changes. While a track is protected, you can’t record on the track, edit regions on the track, or create new regions on the track. If you want to edit the track, you can unprotect it, make the changes, and then protect the track again.

Inserts “empty space” between the locators. Allows you to easily create gaps in a project so you can add new regions (MIDI or audio).

Alternatively, you may want to insert some empty bars in the middle of a project, to create space for another chorus, verse, or bridge, for example. As with the previous example, all existing tempo changes and so on are moved accordingly (to the right by the number of inserted bars).
