Edit Live Loops scenes in Logic Pro — Apple Support

You can copy playing cells to a single scene. This is useful if you want to combine cells from different scenes into a new scene. If you copy playing cells to a scene that already contains cells, the copied cells replace any existing cells on the same track in the scene.

Toggle Track On of all Tracks of Folder  — Logic Pro keyboard command of the day

Toggle Track On of all Tracks of Folder

Change the on/off status of all tracks in the Main Window Tracks. This will turn on all tracks, or turn off all tracks. If tracks are a mix of on and off it doesn’t matter. All tracks will be on or off.

If the Track On/Off switch is not displayed in the Track Header this command will cause it to be displayed (and remain displayed).

Turn off tracks in Logic Pro — Apple Support

When no other track is assigned to the same channel strip, turning off a track also saves processing power, because plug-ins on the channel strip are no longer processed. Turning a track off (or turning it back on) takes slightly longer than muting or unmuting the track, due to internal pre-processing. Unlike muting a track, turning off a track can not be automated.

We need to pay attention the the status of plug-ins, automation, and other settings.

Seems so much more predictable to mute the tracks instead of turning them off.

Next Screenset — Logic Pro keyboard command of the day

  Next Screenset

Switch to the next screenset. As the Macintosh gets faster with better graphics performance switching screensets is nearly instantaneuos.

Create and recall screensets in Logic Pro — Apple Support

Note: Screensets 1 to 9 can be recalled by freely defined key commands, not only the number keys on your computer keyboard. This allows you to use the number keys for other purposes, such as opening or closing windows. The 1 to 9 key commands are called Recall Screenset 1–9 in the Key Commands window.

Toggle Hide Group 33 — Logic Pro keyboard command of the day

  Toggle Hide Group 33

Toggle the visibility of channels and tracks that are members of group 33. That’s a lot of groups to remember.

Edit group membership in Logic Pro — Apple Support

You can add a channel strip to, or remove a channel strip from, single or multiple groups. You can also temporarily disable all group parameter links—applying a Group Clutch—to change the volume of an individual channel strip, for example.

NB Tracks are hidden when corresponding channels are hidden. In the Mixer window the channels are hidden only when the Mixer is in “Tracks” view.

Set All Tracks to Automation Read ⌃⇧⌘R — Logic Pro keyboard command of the day

Set All Tracks to Automation Read ⌃⇧⌘R

Turn on ”Read automation” on all tracks.

Choose automation modes in Logic Pro — Apple Support

Read: Plays back all automation that exists on the track. If volume data exists, for example, the Volume fader moves during playback, following the prerecorded automation on the track. You can’t change the value of the chosen automation parameter by moving controls when in Read mode. However, you can record region information directly into a MIDI region in Read mode.
