Region Automation: Aftertouch

The MIDI Transform window is a powerful tool for edits that would otherwise be impossible (or tedious). For example, imagine an orchestral project that has been sent to you for editing. The individual violin and viola parts were recorded with a different string library. Two hundred MIDI regions contain aftertouch information that introduces an unpleasant pitch modulation, and some sample layer switching artifacts when played with your string samples. After looking at this aftertouch information, you discover that only a small range of values is causing the problem. Your options: edit your sampler instruments, manually remove all aftertouch information (region by region, or globally, thus losing the performance benefits that the aftertouch information provides), or alter the problematic values in the MIDI Transform window.
Toggle Software Monitoring
Changes the state of software monitoring. As stated in the documentation you should use direct monitoring from your interface when you don’t need to hear the sound with any of the inserts. Monitoring through plug-ins can cause uncomfortable latency.

Enable software monitoring, which allows you to monitor incoming audio through any effects that are inserted into a record enabled audio track, if desired. Many audio interfaces offer a direct or hardware monitoring option which sends the audio signal being recorded to a monitor output before the signal is sent to Logic Pro. If your interface offers direct recording you should use it, and only use software monitoring if you’re using effects on an record enabled channel strip.

Note: When Software Monitoring is on, the audio signal is processed via software, and a certain amount of audible delay (commonly referred to as latency) is inevitable.
Lock Position in Track when moving Anchor ⌃A
I have still not found a decent description of “the Anchor” and how it is used…the best that I can discover is that the anchor is what gets aligned to the playhead when adding regions to tracks.
Someday I will edit audio in Logic.

Anchor: Indicates the absolute start point of the audio file.

Performance patches can also exhibit interesting characteristics that differ when playing live and when playing back a region. When you play a note live on the keyboard, the sample is played from the sample anchor—a marker that represents the musical focus of the sample, or the position that should land on a beat. When you play back recorded MIDI events, however, the full sample is played, even if it starts before the note on event. This behavior leads to more natural-sounding instruments—for example, the sound of a tambourine that is generated before the actual palm hit.

Select all of the notes (same pitch) following the currently selected note. Select all of the regions (on the same/focused track) following the currently selected region.

I used to have it set to select all the regions when selecting a track. This turns out to not be what I normally want. I have mapped the toggle to be “Hyper Select”.
