Selects all of the channels that are members of group 30. Once you get to 30 groups you may have some other workflow issues. I tend to keep the Group Inspector open in a separate window when I have more than 7 groups assigned. I try to name them so they make some sense.

You can have a maximum of 64 groups. A channel strip can also be a member of multiple groups.

Selects all channels (and corresponding tracks) that are members of Group 11. Always helpful to have the Groups inspector open and visible so you can tell what Group 11 is — not Group W 😉

You use the Groups inspector to define the behavior of each Mixer group. The Groups inspector appears in the Track inspector when one or more groups have been created, and it can be opened as a floating window as well. It contains the following settings:

Create fresh copies of “frozen” tracks. All tracks that are frozen get re-processed. The operation cannot be cancelled!

When Enable Complete Features is selected in Logic Pro > Preferences > Advanced, you can freeze a track, reducing the processing power needed for playback. This reduces its processor usage to that of a high-resolution audio track with no effects plug-ins, regardless of the number or complexity of the plug-ins actually used on the track. Freezing is particularly useful for software instrument tracks and for audio tracks that use complex effects. It is not available for multi-output software instruments.

Note: Screensets 1 to 9 can be recalled by freely defined key commands, not only the number keys on your computer keyboard. This allows you to use the number keys for other purposes, such as opening or closing windows. The 1 to 9 key commands are called Recall Screenset 1–9 in the Key Commands window.
